It’s been quite a ride!

Posted by Blake Brown under QuiBids Employees

QuiBids' employee Blake says farewell.

It is with a heavy heart that I will announce that this is my final day here at QuiBids. I started as a wee little intern way back on Valentine’s Day 2011, and from then to now, I have made valuable relationships, learned a whole lot, and helped facilitate one of the best eCommerce Facebook communities in the world (seriously, you guys are the best!).

Although my ride is over, we sure did have a good one. We auctioned off a Ford Focus. We raised a ton of money for charity. We facilitated many volunteer opportunities for our employees. We sponsored some great organizations. We collected a ton of food for hungry Oklahomans. We helped send a beautiful little girl to Disney World through Make-a-Wish. We raised more than $3,500 for the Moore, Oklahoma tornado victims. We built homes with Habitat for Humanity. We’ve auctioned off NBA jerseys for charity. We assisted The Underdogs rescue to save a bunch of fur babies. I took a viral photo from our office. I ticked off an NFL quarterback. We shared recipes. We broke down and discussed bidding tips and strategies. We’ve had many free to bid auction events and gave away thousands of free bids and gameplays.  The list goes on and on. Feel free to share your favorite memories in the comments. :)

So what does this mean for you? Since I facilitated our daily and weekly promos for free bids and gameplays, most of these promos will unfortunately end on February 3rd. This includes the Daily Twitter contest, the Daily Facebook Share contest, The weekly banner photo contest, and the QuiBidder of the Week contests. The Saturday promo code and the Sunday 2X Gameplay timeline contest will still continue for the time being. I know that some of you may not be very happy with this, which is quite understandable. I still encourage you to continue to bid and have fun with QuiBids like always, because that’s why we were all here to begin with!

Thank you to every person I’ve come in contact with the past 6 years. It’s been quite a ride and I am thankful for every single one of you. If you would like to follow me going forward, you can hit me up on twitter (@blakekbrown) or Instagram (@bkbrown).

Now onto the next adventure.

Blake OUT!
