A tasty hot chocolate drink can be the perfect way to get through a cold winter morning. But have you ever tried making your hot chocolate in a crock pot? It seems to be becoming all the rage on our Pinterest feed lately. So we decided to explore some fun slow cooker hot chocolate recipes you can try with the crock pot you won on QuiBids. In each recipe below, we’ll list the ingredients required. Simple Crock Pot Hot Chocolate Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 5 cups milk
  • 1/2 cup Hershey’s Cocoa
  • 1/2 cup White Sugar
  • 1 cup Hot Water

Directions:

  • Combine Cocoa, Sugar, and Hot Water in a large pan. Stir, and bring to a gentle boil.
  • Transfer mixture to crock pot, and add milk.
  • Stir, then cook on high for 2 hours (or low for 4 hours), or until hot.
  • Pour into mugs, then top with whip cream and sprinkles.
  • ENJOY!

Crock Pot Caramel Hot Chocolate Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup cocoa
  • 1 (12 oz) can sweetened condensed milk
  • 6 cups water
  • 1 1/2 tsp vanilla
  • 1 (12.7 fl oz) caramel syrup
  • Reddi-wip
  • Caramel Ice Cream Topping

Instructions:

  • Mix all ingredients together in slow cooker.
  • Cook on high for 2 hours or low for 4 hours
  • Pour into mugs and top with Reddi-Wip and caramel topping.

Slow Cooker Spiced White Hot Chocolate Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 8 pz white chocolate, broken into small pieces
  • 4 cups half and half
  • 2 cups milk
  • 14 oz can sweetened condensed milk
  • 7 oz jar marshmallow creme
  • 4 sticks of cinnamon
  • 1 vanilla bean, split and scraped OR 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 tsp ground cardamom OR 4 cardamom pods
  • 1/2 tsp ground nutmeg OR 1 whole nutmeg

Instructions:

  • Place all ingredients in a slow cooker and cook on low for 2 1/2 – 3 1/2 hours, stirring occasionally.
  • Remove cinnamon sticks, pods and nutmeg before serving.

  • 5 cups milk
  • 1/2 cup Hershey’s cocoa
  • 1/2 cup nutella
  • 1/2 cup white sugar

Instructions:

  • Combine cocoa, sugar, nutella, and hot water in a large pan. Stir, and bring to gentle boil.
  • Transfer mixture to crockpot, and add milk.
  • Stir, then cook on high for approx. 2 -2.5 hours (or low for approx. 4 – 4.5 hours) or until hot.
  • Pour into mugs, then top with Whip Cream and sprinkles.

Crock Pot Mexican Hot Chocolate Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup half and half
  • 4 cups milk
  • 1 cup sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
  • 1 vanilla bean, seeds scraped out OR 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • pinch of cayenne pepper
  • pinch of sea salt

Directions:

  • In crock pot, whisk together the half and half, milk and sweetened condensed milk.
  • Add chocolate chips.
  • Turn heat to low and cook for 1 1/2 hours.
  • At this time chocolate should be melted. Add vanilla and whisk in the cinnamon, cayenne and sea salt.
  • Serve with whipped cream and cinnamon or marshmallows or both!

  • 1 cup hot water
  • 6-7 tsp. Torani French Vanila Syrup (or more or less per your preferences)

  • Combine sugar and hot water in a large pan. Stir and bring to a gentle boil.
  • Transfer mixture to crock pot, and add milk and vanilla syrup.
  • Stir, then cook on high for 2 hours (or low for 4 hours), or until hot.
  • Pour into mugs, then top with whip cream and ground cinnamon sprinkled on the whip cream.
  • ENJOY!
