Peace of Mind for Bidders

Posted by Blake Brown under News

Today’s blog post is inspired by Twitter user, @KuiniMary.  She contacted QuiBids on Twitter the other day and explained how she wanted to start bidding on QuiBids, however she became hesitant after reading reviews claiming that QuiBids is a fake. We promptly replied and assured her that QuiBids is NOT a sham.  We then explained how the entire company recently underwent an internal third-party audit to prove our legitimacy and to give our customers a better peace of mind when bidding on our site (this was all paraphrased for Twitter’s 140 character limit, of course).  The full Twitter conversation can be found here, or at the bottom of this blog post.

We are always coming across people online asking questions like “Is QuiBids legit?” or “Is QuiBids a Fake?” After a person first sees all of the high-quality products that are being sold on QuiBids at a fraction of the retail price, we can totally understand how he/she might become a little skeptical.  Without a decent understanding of QuiBids’ auction model,  it’s easy to assume that no legitimate business can sell products at such low prices.  This is why we strongly urge all QuiBidders to read the QuiBids 101 and FAQ sections of our website.  Both of these sections will help educate bidders on our auction model, in addition to providing useful bidding tips and suggestions that can greatly enhance a bidder’s chances of winning on QuiBids.

Additionally, there have been some bad apples in our industry that have given a bad name to the legitimate sites like QuiBids.  These companies, which are no longer doing business, deceived their customers by using bots, shill, or employee bidders to bid against their customers and increase the ending price of the auction. After hearing of the other sites that were found stealing from their customers, lots of QuiBidders began questioning the legitimacy of the people they were bidding against on QuiBids, and understandably so. With the turmoil surrounding the industry, we felt we owed it to our customers to prove that we are in fact a legitimate company, and that we will always be dedicated to transparency and honesty with our customers.

Last Summer, QuiBids underwent an independent third-party audit by Grant Thornton.  The following is taken from The Report of Management:

“QuiBids maintains effective controls to provide reasonable assurance that bids are placed by bona fide users and does not manipulate the bidding process to inflate the bid price or affect who wins the auction (no use of bots, shill bidding or bidding by employees).

“QuiBids maintains effective controls to provide reasonable assurance that winning auctions and “Buy Now” orders are fulfilled (i.e. shipped).”

QuiBids is legit. I’m so happy with this site. They create games for others to win more bids. No other site pays attention to customer care like this one. My Christmas shopping was awesome and all my niece and nephews were so happy of their gifts. Now, its time to spoil myself and what better place to do it than on this site. Thanks QuiBids for making it possible to have items that I wasn’t able to buy at stores.

I placed a total of 7 bids the other day and $79.95 has been taken out of my account and I’d like to know why but do you think there is any where to ask anyone for help.

      Hello Eliza!

QuiBids operates on a pay to participate model, so you would have to purchase the bids in advance, not as the bids are placed. Be sure to read through QuiBids 101 before placing any additional bids so you better understand our auction model. Feel free to contact support@quibids.com if you have any additional questions.
