QuiBidder of the Week - Amanda L

Hi there QuiBidders! Why don’t you give your bidding finger a rest and take a moment to read about the newest QuiBidder of the Week, Amanda L. from the US! Like many before her, Amanda initially met QuiBids with skepticism but it didn’t take too many wins until she became a QuiBeliever. Keep reading to learn more about her experiences on QuiBids! Click here to tell us your story and you could become the next QuiBidder of the Week and win a $50 gift card of your choice.

How long have you been bidding on QuiBids?

“I’ve been bidding for a couple of months now, and I LOVE IT! I was absolutely skeptical, at first. The old adage “If it sounds too good to be true, it usually is,” continued to reverberate in/through my mind!”

Tell us about a recent QuiBids win.

“My most recent win: a much needed wet/dry shop vac! I used to have one and loved it. Unfortunately, “he” passed this past Christmas and I’ve been needing to fill the void left by his departure (and to clean the mess in my basement).”

Have you ever given your QuiBids win as a gift to someone else?

“Of course! I love gifting my wins. My mother is a huge fan of handbags and wallets, so she always gets first (or second) dibs on those types of items; and gift cards, well, those are ALWAYS perfect for gifting anytime, anywhere! You just can’t go wrong when gifting gift cards — everyone loves those! I have a stack that I keep set aside for emergency gift giving (in case we forget a birthday).”

Do you use Buy Now?

“I use Buy Now, almost as much as I win. Like everyone, I bid to win. That said, I usually only bid on items I am prepared to buy, in the event I am outbid in auction. This, to me, is like a fail-proof way of bidding. Win or Bin! Its a win/win.”

What’s the most bids you’ve ever won from a QuiBids Gameplay?

“I usually play Word Scramble. I love that game -and tend to fair well playing it! Its great for averaging a solid, 35-60 bids! I’ve also tried Deal Wheel. Its a lot of fun too, but far more “risky”! This one seems to be a combination of Wheel of Fortune, and Deal or NO Deal. I’ve won as few as three and as many as 50 bids. I usually stick with my Word Scramble but I’ve been known to play Deal Wheel if I’m in the middle of an auction and need the bids ASAP.

What advice would you like to give to a new QuiBidder just starting out?

“Advice for new Q-bies: Be patient, read QuiBids 101, read their blog, check their Facebook! Study auctions you are interested in before placing even one bid, and always think positive. I think many newbies jump in, not realizing that not all auctions are won with one or two bids. Do your homework, and be patient! This is the best advice I’ve given, or received.”

Anything else you’d like to add?

“I have managed to win many great deals on QuiBids! I’ve won items that our home and/or family needed. I’ve won items that weren’t necessarily needed, but wanted; and wouldn’t have been possible without the immense savings offered at/through QuiBids. I love QuiBids, and with their Buy Now option, you can’t lose!”
