“DOUBLE-TRIPLE-QUADRUPLE WIN: I won this Anolon 5-Piece Bakeware Set which has a Value Price of $64.99 using 12 VB and paying $3.82. It came with a Game Play which made it a double win. This is a Christmas present so that sort of made it a triple win since my savings were so great. And I guess, since I accidentally ordered the wrong set and had to call QuiBids Customer Support and they fixed it pronto for me, that makes it a Quadruple win. I’m very happy with this win.” – Connie
“LUNCH IS ON ME: My hubby eats at Subway several times each week so I recently started trying to win Subway Gift Cards to give him. I snagged this one using 17 voucher bids and paying $3.29 for the $25 Gift Card + 25 Voucher Bids. That’s a total savings of 92%. Nothing like a free or cheap lunch. Thanks, QuiBids.” – QuiBidder Connie
“REMODEL AND REFURNISH: I won this Safavieh Noreen 3Tier Shelf in Antique White for our upstairs bathroom. I cannot show you exactly where it will be because we are in the process of putting in new tile and painting. To get a picture, I had to improvise and the old tile and paint is behind it. This was advertised as an outdoor shelf but I wanted it for the bathroom to give me a place to put towels, etc for guests since there is very little cabinet space in the bathroom. I tried it in it’s new home (not where it’s shown) and it is a perfect fit. I can even drape hand towels over the bar at either end. It was simple to put together and if you look closely (oops!) I left the little A, B, and C stickers on it. The value price for this shelf is $99.99 but I paid just $1.11 after using 32 voucher bids. That’s a savings of 99%. Thanks, QuiBids!” – QuiBidder Connie
“PIG OUT: Whenever I win Pig of the Month items, it makes me happy. This win is the Pig of the Month Pulled Pork and All The Trimmings combo. It comes with 4 pounds of pulled pork, 1 pound of Italian style sausages, and 1 bottle Memphis BBQ sauce (wrapped in the paper). I like to eat as organic as I can so I’m happy to report that Pig of the Month is always all natural, gluten free, and with no preservatives or additives. Not to mention, it is absolutely delicious. This auction retailed for $99.99 but I won it using 8 voucher bids and paying just 84 cents. That’s my kind of shopping. Thanks again, QuiBids for a great deal.” – QuiBidder Connie
“SHHHH, DON’T TELL: I won this Full Face Snorkel Mask for my husband for Christmas. He doesn’t have a FB account so he won’t see this. Every year we go to the beach and I’m hoping it will be a hit. The mask looks pretty cool and these masks get good reviews online. It comes in a nice drawstring mesh bag for storing and protection. Only time will tell if I’ve got a hit or a miss. I got a great deal on it. I used 17 vb and paid just $0.56. That’s a savings of 99%. Cannot beat that price. If he likes it, I may have to get me one too.” – QuiBidder Connie
“HAPPY WINS: Sometimes you have an item that is elusive and you try any number of times, but you never can seem to win it. When lightning finally strikes, you are happier with that win than with other wins, even pricier wins or wins that cost you pennies. This KitchenAid KSC6223SS 6-Quart Slow Cooker with Solid Glass Lid was one of those types of super happy wins for me. I’ve wanted this slow cooker for well over a year. I’ve tried whenever I had the bids to go for it, but I never could seem to snag it. Then, out of the blue, I roped it and brought it home. And I’m so happy I did. I used 31 voucher bids and paid $6.95. Anyone who knows me, knows that this beauty will be put to good use. Now my sister has decided she wants one, too. lol! It’s a good one.” – Connie E.
“NOW WE’RE COOKING: I won this Cuisinart Oven Central Countertop Cook/Bake Oven in Brushed Stainless Steel several months back but I didn’t want to post it until I had used it and could give a recommendation (or not). Well, I finally opened it up and used it and can report that it is awesome. My husband and I are now empty nesters since our last started college in September and we don’t need a big oven to cook just for the two of us. I thought the size was perfect and I thought it would be great for: (1) summer, when I don’t want to heat up the kitchen but I want to cook, (2) traveling in an RV or camper, (3) deer camp. You can Bake, Roast, Steam, Saute, Skewer, Griddle, Toast and Brown in it. It comes with the proper cooking trays and racks which, I can report, are super easy to clean as well. Last night, I made baked potatoes first and then I made parmesan crusted chicken. Both turned out great. Only mistake I made was when I learned the timer works even if you don’t have the oven plugged in. Yikes! I thought for a minute that it didn’t work. It DOES have to be plugged in. My bad. I did learn that I have to add a few extra minutes to the cooking time but that’s no biggie either. I won this item using 59 vouchers and 1 real bid and paying $14.43, a savings of 85% off the price of $96.99.” – Connie
“I just have to say THANK YOU, QUIBIDS for my prize during the 12 Days of QuiBids Give-away! I felt like a little kid opening this package. I have a brother-in-law who is going to be super excited when he receives this gift. It’s a gift I NEVER could have managed without you! ((Hugs!)) to everyone at QuiBids HQ in OK! Happy Holidays and Merry Christmas and all that good stuff!” – Connie E.
“SLEEPING EASY: My son will be home in a few days and I will have this new Luxury Home Super Soft Hypo-Allergenic Down Alternative Mattress Topper on his bed to make him more comfortable. He has allergies so I was happy to be able to find a hypo-allergenic version on QuiBids. I won this $46.99 item using 27 voucher bids and paying $0.91. That’s a savings of 98% or $46.08. Thanks, QuiBids!” – Connie E.
“A GIFT FOR SOMEONE SPECIAL: I will not say who these are for but I won these awesome Ray-Ban Men’s Chris Black Wayfarer Sunglasses (Value Price $96.00) using just 10 bids and paying just $0.64. That’s a savings of 99% and it really made my Christmas shopping easy, and cheap. I imagine these will be a hit. Thanks QuiBids for making my shopping fun and helping me save money.”
“MERRY CHRISTMAS (or HAPPY BIRTHDAY) to ME! I’ve been wanting some wireless headphones for a couple of years. I won some nice Beats last year but, although they advertised as cordless, they weren’t so that left me still wanting. I won these JBL Synchros E50BT Wireless Over-Ear Stereo Headphones (Value Price $149.95) for $1.66 and used 15 vb. It was a great win for me and definitely one that made me get up and do my happy dance. I’m think I’m gonna enjoy these tremendously.” – Connie
“COORDINATED DECOR: Some of you may remember the beautiful Lush Décor Turquoise / Tangerine Boho Stripe 3pc Quilt Set I won back in March of last year. It looks absolutely wonderful on — better than the pictures. I even bought a new headboard set which matches the other wood in the room which makes it look perfect. Anyway, one day as I was shopping on Q I stumbled across a matching Lush Décor Turquoise / Tangerine Boho Stripe throw (60″ x 50″). I didn’t even know there was a matching throw but I absolutely had to have it. I’ve been looking for just the perfect chair to go in that bedroom and, as soon as I find it, the throw will be perfect to go with it. I won this throw for $0.78 and used 14 voucher bids. That’s a savings of 98% off the $49.99 price. Now, the chair search continues… Thanks, QuiBids for another great bargain.” – QuiBidder Connie
“SERVING IT UP: Well, my hobby bidding on QuiBids served me well again. I won this Rachael Ray Round & Square 14″ Oval Platter ($43.99) using just 3 promo bids and paying just $0.08. I discovered I needed a second platter when I cooked both turkey and ham at Christmas and only had 1 platter to use. (Oops!) Of course, I chose red. No one need have doubted that. I may try for another one just like this so I have a matching pair. It’s nice and a very good size.” – Connie
“HAPPY AS PIE: I have, of late, been very lucky with my kitchen update wins. I won this Rachael Ray Stoneware 9-Inch Pie Baker (red, of course) to replace an old Pyrex pie plate in my kitchen. I’m very happy to have gotten this $35.99 item using 6 voucher bids and paying just $0.13. The retired Pyrex will now be recycled by being handed down to my son so this is a win-win. Thanks, QuiBids!” – Connie
“A NEW QUEST: I am on a quest to find the PERFECT pair of sunglasses (for me). Not just any sunglasses. Not just cute sunglasses. Not just glasses which fit well. I’m looking for glasses which do it all: Sun protection, fit, style, everything. I know perfect sunglasses are different for everyone so please understand that I am only commenting from the standpoint of how well do the glasses work for me. These might be your ideal sunglasses glasses. By the way, this is the second pair I’ve tried. The first pair I’m not posting. I looked remarkably like a human mosquito, or maybe Cruelly DeVille, in them so no photos are ever going to be published of those.
This pair is the Oakley Men’s Fives Squared Black Rectangle Sunglasses. I won these using 24 real bids and 32 voucher bids and paying $1.86. That’s a savings of $59.74 (79%) off the price of $76. I should mention that I like men’s sunglasses. I like them because I like slightly larger lens sizes. My main problem is that men’s heads are typically larger than women’s so the fit can be problematic. FIT: These were just slightly too large for my smaller head and I felt like they would fall off pretty easily if I did anything remotely athletic…not likely, I know. But it could happen. As these are men’s sunglasses, this is not totally surprising. But they didn’t appear to be the type you can adjust easily either. STYLE: They are some very cool sunglasses (what else would you expect from Oakley), but I have a long face and while the length (top to bottom) and shape of the glasses is okay, it is not ideal with my particular features. SUN PROTECTION: These provide very good sun protection and protection from the side as well since these wrap pretty well. They are not polarized and you can expect a little glare when you get a pair of non-polarized sunglasses but these do not seem to have a lot of glare even without the polarization. My Grade: B+. Good, but not perfect. The quest continues…” – Connie
“THE PERFECT SUNGLASSES QUEST – PART 2: My third pair of sunglasses arrived this week. These are the Men’s Oakley Holbrook Sunglasses – Matte Black/Warm Grey. I had some Women’s Holbrooks about a year ago and knew I liked the style already. I won these using 16 voucher bids and paying $1.09. That’s a savings of 118.91 or 99% off the retail price of $120, a super deal. I did my happy dance when I won.
I’m judging all of the sunglasses I get using three main criteria: Fit, Style, and Sun Protection. FIT: Despite the fact that these are men’s sunglasses, they fit snugly. I didn’t feel like I would lose them easily by having them slide off. They seemed snug enough that I could even be hot and sweaty and I think they’d pretty much stay in place, but they are also not too tight. STYLE: They are some seriously slick shades. I like that they are oversized. The more squared shape kept me from looking horse-faced. For some reason, though, I don’t like how my eyebrows seem to be almost part of them in pictures. Maybe that’s just the photo?! Or maybe I’m just weird which is probably more likely. (lol) SUN PROTECTION: These provide very good sun protection as do all the Oakley’s I have tried. These don’t protect as well from the sides since they aren’t wrap sunglasses. Still, they do pretty well despite that. They are not polarized and, as I’ve mentioned before, you can expect a little glare when you get a pair of non-polarized sunglasses but these do not seem to have a lot of glare despite that. My Grade: A. Very Good, but I still didn’t get that, “Aha, this is it!!!” feeling. Holding out for A++.
Still, these are keepers. I may have prescription lenses put in so I can drive in these since I’m required to wear prescription glasses when driving. Did you know that many eyeglasses stores, if they sell Oakley’s or Ray-Bans or any of the popular brands will often allow you to bring in your frames and you can just purchase lenses for them using your prescription. I saved a bundle on sunglasses for my son that way. I didn’t have to buy his Oakley frames, just the lenses. The quest continues…”
