We’re excited about this QuiBidder of the Week. His name is Trevor, and like most people are when first learning about QuiBids, he was hesitant to try it. Luckily for him, though, he gave us a try and ended up scoring lots of great wins! Read more about his experiences with QuiBids below.
How long have you been bidding on QuiBids?
“I have been bidding since February of 2011. I was very excited when I first heard about the site, but I was also very hesitant to try. Always heard good and bad stories about the site and if anyone could really win.”
Tell us about your best QuiBids win.
“Over the last Christmas I had my best wins. I would have to say winning my metal detector and the Panasonic Flat Screen I won. I won both within 24 hours. The metal detector was 55 cents and I used 18 Voucher Bids on it. The TV on the other hand was only 28 cents and I only used 12 Real Bids. I saved 99% on the metal detector and 97% on the TV. I will have to say those are some pretty good deals.”
Have you ever given your QuiBids win as a gift to someone else?
“I am always able to give my wins as gifts. I won a Callaway golf club and gave it to my dad as an extra belated Christmas gift and he loves it. Also the gift cards come in very handy when I want to surprise my wife and take her out to dinner. I will have to say though she loved the T-Fal cookware set I won. Now everything matches :).”
Do you use Buy Now?
“I definitely use Buy Now. If you spent any amount of Real Bids on an auction and you end up giving up then you are basically just giving away money. It is a great opportunity to still purchase an item if you really wanted it. If you didn’t use this option then you would have to go to the store and pay the full price when you could have already had it for that price when you include the bids you already placed. Basically it is a no-brainer if you really want the item.”
What’s the most bids you’ve ever won from a QuiBids Gameplay?
“The most I won was 60 bids. That was playing the Deal Wheel. I also won a whopping 0 bids one time :). Didn’t think that was possible, but you take the good with the bad. Gameplays are just extra opportunities to win free bids, so I just enjoy any opportunities to play for free.”
What advice would you like to give to a new QuiBidder just starting out?
“The best advice I could give is to play smart. Pay attention to the item you are bidding on. Don’t just stay on the home screen clicking Bid on each auction and crossing your fingers. You need to click on the auction and see how many people are participating. If there are a lot of bidders using the Bid-O-Matic then be cautious. Don’t jump into the game expecting to outbid someone. Wait for the right time and make your move. Many bidders get tired after a while following auctions and will give up. Noticing when bidders make their moves will help you in the long run. Also don’t expect to always win. It is great to win, but greater to save money and know when to slow down.”
Anything else you’d like to add?
“I love the experience and the opportunities to win on QuiBids. Bid smart and enjoy. Nobody cares to hear the negative stories people post about QuiBids. These are the ones that waste their money and don’t take the time to play. They want the quick win and it doesn’t happen all the time. Enjoy the chances and play smart.”
