Earlier this month, we told you about our QuiBids Holiday Toy Drive where QuiBids employees have been busy collecting toys for children who are spending their Christmas at the OU Children’s Hospital. Lots of these kids have spent most of their lives in and out of hospitals – and many of them will not be able to visit their family this Holiday. We hope that these toys will make for a serendipitous surprise for these children come Christmas morning.
From December 1 through December 16, QuiBids employees have been devoting time to collecting toys for these children. To promote some fun around the office and to encourage more toy donations, each department competed against each other to see who could collect the most toys. Each department did a fantastic job at collecting board games, stuffed animals, electronic gadgets, action figures, and much more. However, we are proud to announce that the department that collected the most toys for needy children was our IT department! Altogether, QuiBids employees raised over $500 worth of toys.
This is the time of the year when those in need, especially the children, could use a little holiday cheer. So this holiday season, we’d like to challenge all QuiBidders to take a break from bidding and find a local toy drive or charitable organization in your area and provide a little holiday cheer to someone who really needs it right now. You can find a toy drive or organization in your area here.
A big thanks to fellow QuiBidder, Caleb, who helped organize the toy drive and took the toys to the hospital! Happy Holidays to you and your loved ones!
