QuiBids’ Children International

UPDATE: QuiBids Helps Children in Need One ReTweet at a Time

Since our beginning, we knew the importance to help support our local community and beyond.  There are so many needs around the world and an effort from just one individual can truly make a difference!  So here at QuiBids, we absolutely believe in charitable giving in addition to being active in the community.  You can see a few instances with our local efforts at the Regional Food Bank and with Make-a-Wish Foundation from 2011.

Since we’re now international, currently in four countries, we also want to help around the world where we can.  In Spring of 2011, QuiBids started its international charitable efforts and reached out to Children International.  Children International is a non-profit whose mission is to help children living in dire poverty.  For over 75 years this organization has been providing assistance and aid to children and their families struggling in poverty. We initially sponsored 10 children, five girls and five boys, all from different countries: Mexico, Honduras, Dominican Republic, Colombia, Chile, Ecuador, Philippines, Guatemala, Zambia and India.  QuiBids employees took it upon themselves to actively write to our sponsored kiddos and to keep up the relationships.

Every month we get updates on how the children are doing, what activities they’re involved in, how their families are doing (sometimes the parents or siblings may write due to the child being a bit too young to write) and status reports on the country in general.  Needless to say, we’ve learned a lot from this organization and about countries around the world!  We definitely have enjoyed the fit between Children International and QuiBids and look forward to another year of sponsorship.

A huge thank you to all the QuiBids employees who have kept up the correspondence with the children: Kristi M., Sara H., Tyson B., Katie H., Kaela G., Jeff H., Callie G., Christina K. and Melissa G.!
