Happy Love Your Pet Day!
Today is a day to make sure you set aside some time to spend with your furry friends. You can give them extra treats, catch up on fun, take them for a walk, but most importantly, just show them how much you love them. When it comes to your pet’s happiness, a little love can go a long way!
So in honor of Love Your Pet Day, we thought we’d share some things we’ve learned about pets from both customers and employees. Keep reading to see what we mean.
Pets make great models
We all know how photogenic our pets can be. Here are some pets posing with items that customers won on QuiBids. Will one of these be the next Vanna White, perhaps? Only time will tell.
“This week I received my uNu Universal Battery packs. Got 1 for my wife, son and granddaughter. Now they don’t have to worry about being away form an electrical outlet to charge their toys. It also has a flash light. Cool $39.99 retail got them for, $1.31 with 13 VBs and 2 free with 22 VBS and 11 VBs. I don’t think Henry likes them very much or just don’t like the idea of me giving them to her, taking a pic and then taking them away Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend and to those bidding, best of luck and catch a big one!” – John K.
“MY HEAVYDOG AND THE ONE I WON ON THE Q” – Douglas P.
“Sachi and Lexi knows what my dishes are for “daddy whats for dinner” Pfaltzgraff Nile and Cayman sets. Won the Nile for $1.55, 11 bids and the Cayman $.60, 13 bids. Know how to get rid of Sachi’s Red eyes from flash. Don’t know for Lexi’s blue. Oh nice coffee cups came w/ the set. But silly-willy dogs don’t drink coffee.” – John K.
“My cat Jake, inspecting the Kalorik 12-cup coffeemaker I won.” – Darlene S.
- “Thanks Q awesome blanket King size color is sage, fit nicely on our English Cocker’s loveseat yes she has her own love seat, the green blends in so well with her fuzzy blanket, she is getting ready for winter early. The grand babies love her.” – Marlene C.
“I am not the only one who loves my heating pad that I won!!! Thanks QuiBids!” – Julie F.
Pets like boxes
Customers seem to be discovering a surprising fact: Pets love the empty boxes your QuiBids wins come in. Here’s what we mean.
“To start your day with a little smile…here’s an extra perk of shopping at QuiBids…you get a gift for someone you love and a new favorite home for your two furry babies (a two-“fur”)…interesting how a Q box makes my cats radioactive.” – Denise A.
“My Shark cordless vac. came the other day and it sure does work great. But Henry does not like it. Took off running. She rather have the box Wishing best of luck to all bidding! Have a wonderful day!” – John K.
“‘Meow! So what did you get this time?’ Charlize loves jumping into boxes, so thank you QuiBids for bring a lot of joy for my cat!” – Hanna H.
“Did I just win this?!” – Hanna H.
Pets help you express how you really feel
Sometimes when we can’t find the words to say, our pets tend to say it best.
“Even my dogs are crazy about QUIBIDS. They starting the day bidding on stuff that I like to make me feel so happy and proud of them. My dogs listen our conversations between my wife and I about QUIBIDS items and they go to the computer and try to get that item for us. Smart dogs, ah !! just kidding.. hahahahahahaha. I LOVE YOU QUIBIDS & MY DOGS, TOO. You have the proof.” – Antonio G.
QuiBids employees love pets too!
Many employees here at QuiBids (including me) are animal lovers as well. Here’s a picture of my two dogs watching me type this blog post right now. Can you tell they want me to hurry and finish so I can play with them?
This is Boom (Schnoodle) and Sawyer (Border Collie/Australian Shepherd mix). Boom is the pack leader and always tends to be bossing Sawyer around.
I also wanted to take the time to recognize two fellow co-workers, Meike and Jared, who helped to start a local organization called The Underdogs that aims to help give dogs better lives through “Rescue, rehabilitation, education, and community involvement.” Be sure to give their Facebook page a “like” by going here.
QuiBids employee, Meike, rescues a dog hours before it was scheduled to be put to sleep.
Earlier this week, Meike received a call from a family that would be moving and needed someone to take in their dog, Napoleon. Unfortunately, Napoleon was transported to animal control before Meike could meet the family to pick him up. Because the dog had shown aggressive behavior in the past, they were not going to let Meike take the dog and instead were planning on putting him to sleep. Thankfully, Meike was able to fight for the dog’s release and give him the opportunity to spend the rest of his days with a family who loves him.
People were able to stay informed of the progress of Napoleon’s release via the Pardon for Napoleon Facebook page Meike and Jared created. Below are the series of posts that detailed the event, from fighting to save the dog to pictures of the rescue.
If you think Meike and Jared did great work, bee sure to head on over to the Pardon for Napoleon and the Underdogs Facebook pages and give them some love.
