This past week marked the first year of the OK Creativity Forum. It spawned from last year’s Creativity World Forum and was already sold out weeks before the event took place. It was created to challenge perceptions of creativity & innovation in education, commerce & culture. This one-day forum was to inspire attendees to use their imagination to create and innovate in everyday life. There were attendees from across the nation including policymakers, students, entrepreneurs, innovators, business leaders, educators, technology experts and more. The OK Creativity Forum took place on November 1 at the Embassy Suites in Norman, OK in the U.S.
Our CEO, Matt Beckham, spoke on a panel during the event’s first breakout session called, Risk & Failure: The Entrepreneurial Challenge. Other panelists were Reese Travis, CEO of OrangeLeaf Frozen Yogurt; Travis Chase, Founder of Capacity Sports; and Judy Hatfield, Founder of Equity Commercial Realty. They discussed topics of risk, failure and success in creating opportunities that did not appear to previously exist. It was a great event and we were happy to have been a part of it. Thank you to the OK Creativity Forum!
Keynote speakers at the event included John Mackey, Co-CEO and Co-Founder of Whole Foods and Aubrey McClendon, CEO of Chesapeake Energy.
